How To Minimize Pores (6 Hacks You Should Know)

Are you ready? Let's glow!

1. ALOE & AN ICE PACK
Store Aloe or an Aloe moisturizer in the refrigerator. Apply a thick layer to the area of concern. Then, apply an ice pack or a cloth with cold water to the back of your neck to bring down your internal body temperature. Since, heat is one reason pores become enlarged, decreasing your inner body temperature and using the aloe to soothe and cool down the surface of the skin works wonders to solve this common concern.

2. CLEANSE & EXFOLIATE!
Make sure you're cleansing your skin daily (oil based cleansers are the best for extracting dirt from pores) and exfoliating at least once a week (exfoliating also helps to slew away dead skin cells that contribute to dull, lackluster skin). Apply warm or hot water to your face before you cleanse to open up pores and then wash away the cleanser with cool water to close them back up again. Remember, if your pores are filled with dirt, they will be more visible. Clearing pores out will make sure your pores don't stand out more than necessary.
**You can cleanse two times a day but if you choose only to cleanse once a day, make sure it's in the nighttime so that all the built up gunk from the hours prior will be purged and your skin can breathe free.

3. USE SPF DAILY
UV rays are harmful for a whole host of reasons. We couldn't stress more how important it is that you WEAR SUNSCREEN EVERY DAY, RAIN OR SHINE. Since UV rays expedite the signs of aging. One of these is diminishing collagen and elastin that usually contribute to plumper, more supple looking skin. With the collagen and elastin gone, our skin begins to sag and stretch, contributing to enlarged pores.

4. BEWARE OF SHIMMERY MAKEUP
Shimmery makeup products can highlight areas with enlarged pores, so keep the use of this kind of makeup restricted to areas of the face with smaller pores like the cheekbones, eyes, higher of the forehead and so forth.

5. MOISTURIZE DAILY
Moisturizing daily (even multiple times a day) can help prevent the overproduction of oils which clog pores and sometimes turn into acne which overtime makes pores larger and larger. Apply your moisturizer after applying a hydrating serum like the Plant Base Hyaluronic Acid Serum, after nourishing skin with a sheet mask and after applying an eye cream. Gently pat a generous amount of moisturizer onto your skin.
